The BlueClaws placed Julian Sampson on the 7-day DL Thursday and called up Zack Sterner from extended spring training. Zack pitched in 18 games for Lakewood in 2007, going 1-1 with 3 saves and a 2.70 ERA.
The story on Durant has changed again, as he was told Thursday he WILL go the Florida to rehab. Mike left Friday morning for Clearwater. In his place on the roster, the 'Claws have received outfielder Terrence (T.J.) Warren.
Moises Melendez, who was sent to extended earlier this week, was recalled in less than 48 hours.
