Cole Hamels underwent a "dynamic ultrasound" and an MRI today and the tests reveal no structural damage to his ailing left elbow, just inflammation which Cole says is common for him at this time of the year. He received an injection of anti-inflammatory and will resume throwing Thursday in Clearwater.
The Phillies will take no chances with their 20-million dollar man, easing him back into preseason games. His opening day start is still very much up in the air.
