Phils top Yanks; Bourn breaks out

The Phillies topped the Yankees, 8-3 on Monday. J.A. Happ (pictured here, courtesy of HomeSiders Bob & Kathy Palamara) was strong for 5 innings, allowing just 2 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits and 3 walks, striking out 3.
Over in Kissimmee, the Astros beat the Marlins 10-8. Michael Bourn broke out big time, going 3 for 4 (2 singles and a double). Bourn knocked in 3 runs, scored twice and stole another base. Hopefully, he has turned the corner on a slow starting spring.
On Tuesday morning, the Blue Jays reassigned Randy Ruiz to minor league camp. It looks like Randy will start another season in AAA.
A couple of notes from the minor league games; Tuffy Gosewisch had a triple for the 2nd consecutive day as the AA Phillies topped Pittsburgh, 4-2, and in the low A game, Arlon Quiroz belted his 4th home run in 5 games as "Lakewood" won, also 4-2. Jesus Sanchez, who started last season as a catcher for Lakewood, pitched 2 innings, allowing just 1 run and striking out 3.
