Ryno homers again

The Phillies played another tie on Friday, this one 2-2 with the Cardinals. Carlos Carrasco was the starter,and he was pretty good for 4.2 innings, allowing just 3 hits and 2 walks, the only 2 runs coming on a home run by Rick Ankeil. Ryan Howard had 2 hits hits for Philadelphia, including his 6th home run of the spring. Carlos Ruiz was 1 for 2, and Brad Harman and Jason Donald were 0 for 1 each. Philadelphia will play Minnesota today in Clearwater, Kyle Kendrick is scheduled to pitch, and the game is on CSN.

The Red Sox beat the Pirates, 11-4, Jason Jaramillo had a single in his only at bat. The Blue Jays ripped the Rays, 15-4, Randy Ruiz entered the game as a pinch runner for Kevin Millar, and then got a single and a walk, scoring 2 runs in the rout. The Angels beat the Diamondbacks 6-1, Chris Roberson was 0 for 1 for Arizona.

The first semifinal in the WBC is tonight as Venezuela faces Korea at 9:00 on ESPN.
