Not a lot of HomeSiders in action Friday, here is what I have gathered:
Oakland bombed Seattle 12-1. Josh Outman threw 2.2 innings in relief, allowing 1 run on 5 hits,no walks, and 3 strike outs for the Athletics.
The Diamondbacks defeated Team Mexico, 4-2, in Mexico's final tune-up before they begin play in the WBC. Chris Roberson was 0 for 2 for Arizona.
The White Sox pummeled Australia, and our boys on the Aussie team had a forgettable day. Brad Harman: 0 for 3, 2 Ks; Joel Naughton, 0 for 4, 3 Ks; and Drew Naylor gave up a home run and walked 2, without recording an out.
There are 3 Grapefruit League games tonight: Houston v Atlanta, Detroit v NY Yankees, and Toronto v Philadelphia, as well as the elimination game in the WBC in Tokyo.
