R.J. Swindel, signed by Milwaukee in the off season, was reassigned to minor league camp and is expecting to start the year at AAA Nashville in the PCL. R.J. had a good major league run in camp, appearing in 4 games for the Brewers, pitching 5 innings, allowing just 1 run on 3 hits and 1 walk (1.80 ERA). He also hit a batter but picked up 2 wins, one after a blown save.
I have received word from Florida that Clay Harris has retired.
I am still looking for word on where the Marlins will assign Brett Harker and Ron "Bear" Hill, who were both selected by Florida in the rule 5 draft last December.
