Claws rally for exciting win

The Lakewood BlueClaws rallied late from a 3-1 deficit, scoring 2 in the 7th and 1 more in the 8th to take a 4-3 win over Greensboro and extend their lead on the Grasshoppers to a game and a half. The BlueClaws improved to 24-17 and have still not lost 3 in a row all season. Tyler Cloyd was impressive again, going 6.1 innings, allowing just 3 runs on 6 hits and a walk. The walk is noteworthy because in 57.1 innings this year, Cloyd has walked just 7, while striking out 54! Santo Hernandez continues to do the job out of the pen, this time getting 5 outs, allowing just 1 hit to record his 3rd win. In his last 6 outings, Hernandez has thrown 15.1 innings, surrendering just 1 earned run on 7 hits and 7 walks. The walks are a little high, but you cannot argue with the results! B.J. Rosenberg threw a scoreless 9th inning to notch his 6th save. Zack Collier (pictured) and Troy Hanzawa had 3 hits each for the 'Claws, and Harold Garcia chipped in with 2 hits and a stolen base (#13). Lakewood sends Jason Knapp Sunday night as they look to make it 2 in a row.
