R-Phils top Senators

The Reading Phillies hit 4 triples and 2 home runs to win the finale of their series in Harrisburg, 8-4. Each hitter other than the pitchers had a least 1 hit. Mike Spidale bumped his average to .350, with a single, triple, 2 runs cored and an RBI, Brad Harman had a triple and a home run, also scoring twice, as well as driving in 2, and Michael Taylor (.321) also had a triple and a single.


Joe Savery improved to 2-1, 4.33 by going 5. allowing 4 runs on 7 hits and 2 walks, striking out 5. Pat Overholt (1 IP, 3rd hold). Matt German (1 IP, 6th hold) and Sergio Escalona (pictured, 2 IP, 7th save) pitched scoreless relief, as Reading improved to 13-8.
