Reading, Clearwater both lose

The Harrisburg Senators are the first Eastern League team to defeat Vance Worley, beating Reading 6-1 Friday. Worley went 5, allowing 6 runs on 7 hits, NO walks, 3 Ks. Pat Overholt, Josh Shortslef, Mike Zagurski and Sergio Escalona each threw a scoreless inning of relief. Zack Segovia pitched for the Senators, shutting out the R-Phils for 2 frames. Brad Harman (.264) had 2 singles and double and scored Reading's lone run.

In Clearwater, the Threshers could get only 4 hits, losing to Daytona 7-2. Mike Cisco made his second start of the year, and looked good again for 5 innings: 1 run, 5 hits, 2 walks, 6 strike outs. Chris Kissock gave up 2 runs in his inning and absorbed the loss. Dan Brauer's problems continue as he faced 5 hitters, walked 2 and allowed 1 hit; they all scored. Darren Byrd came off the DL and made his debut, throwing an inning, giving up an unearned run.

I do want to mention Joel Naughton, who hit 2 home runs on Thursday night for Clearwater.
