Despite getting just 5 hits this morning, the IronPigs salvaged the final game of their series with Gwinnett, 3-1 behind strong pitching from Rodrigo Lopez. Lopez was solid for 7 innings, allowing just 1 run on 5 hits. David Newhan had the big blow, a 2-run home run over the double stack of signage in right field in the 2nd inning. John Mayberry had a single and a double for Lehigh Valley.
I have made my way over to Reading and am going to grab some lunch before heading over to First Energy Stadium for the 6:30 game tonight against New Britain.
