66 & counting

After being rained out for 2 nights in a row, the BlueClaws resumed play in Charleston, South Carolina, falling to the River Dogs, 2-1. Lakewood managed just 5 hits, 2 by Harold Garcia, and wasted a good effort from Justin De Fratus, who surrendered only 1 run on 5 hits and 2 walks over 7 fine innings of work. Jordan Ellis was the hard luck loser, giving up a run in the bottom of the 9th. Anthony Gose stole 2 more bags, increasing his team record to 66. Gose also picked up an assist, nailing a runner at second base.
