Carlos tops Pedro

In what had to be the most intriguing game in the short history of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, recently traded former IronPig Carlos Carrasco bested Pedro Martinez in a 9-6 Clippers win on Friday.

Carrasco battled his way through 5.1 innings of work, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits and a walk to his ex-mates, including a 2-run homer by Michael Taylor, to qualify for the win for Columbus. Carlos is now 7-9 on the year, and heads to Columbus now with his new team for their next home stand. Both Jason Donald and Lou Marson were in the line-up again for the Clippers.

Martinez did not pitch badly, throwing 84 pitches and going 5 innings, giving up 4 of his 5 runs in his last inning of work.
