Michael Taylor had 5 hits Wednesday night, and recorded the first cycle in IronPigs history as the Pigs topped the Louisville Bats, 10-9 in 10 innings. Mike showed a flair for the dramatic, saving his home run for the bottom of the 9th inning to tie the game. The 4 RBI performance raised his AAA average up to .286, and the Phillies have to be smiling again, having NOT traded him at the deadline!! Mike's combined numbers for the season are .322, with 19 homers and 80 RBI between Reading and Lehigh Valley.
The Pigs roughed up Matt Maloney for 6 runs on 8 hits and 3 walks in just 5 innings, bumping Matt's ERA over 3 for the first time in a while.
Meanwhile, in the Bronx, Randy Ruiz hit another home run, that's 2 in 2 games with the Blue Jays!! After hitting the right field foul pole Tuesday night, Randy sent one deep into the left center field bullpen in his first at bat Wednesday afternoon off of A. J. Burnett and is now 3 for 10, including the 2 dingers, in his 2 games so far.
