Jay Happ continues his bid to be NL rookie of the year with another gem against the Mets. Happ went 7, allowing only a single run on 8 hits and 2 walks, defeating New York 4-1 to improve to 10-2, with a 2.59 ERA. Jay has been the most steady influence in the rotation since joining it early in the season, and has now went at least 6 innings in 12 straight starts for Philadelphia.
In Toronto, Randy Ruiz had 2 more hits in the Blue Jays 7-3 loss to the Angels. Randy is hitting .316 in his first 10 games with Toronto.
