I am short on time this morning, but here are some quick notes from Tuesday:
The Charlotte Knights have activated Greg Golson off the DL, and he went 1 for 3 with a walk in the Knights' 7-2 loss to the Braves.
The Chicago Cubs recalled Adrian Cardenas from AAA-Iowa, and with 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th inning, Adrian had a pinch hit single to break up A.J. Burnett's no-no!! It was the 18th pinch hitting appearance for Cardenas with the Cubs.
Domonic Brown had a pinch hit single in his first major league at bat of the year in the Phillies 8-0 over the Nationals. Ryan Howard and Carlos Ruiz had a hit each, with Ruiz knocking in his 58th run, and Antonio Bastardo and Kyle Kendrick combined for a 1-2-3 inning, striking out 2 of the 3 hitters they faced.
The BlueCalws romped over Delmarva, 9-1. Maikel Franco and Kelly Dugan both homered, and Tim Carver added 3 doubles, and Willie Carmona got his first hit for Lakewood, and RBI single and a run scored! The Claws a re now in a 3-way tie for 2nd place, 1 game behind West Virginia.
Brody Colvin made his AA debut and went 5 innings for the R-Phils in their 6-4 win in Richmond.
Jonathan Singleton (.284) had 2 hits and a walk, including his 14th home run for Corpus Christi in an 8-7 win over San Antonio.
Watch whatever highlight show you have to, but check out the diving catch by Michael Bourn!
