Bourn lead Braves to win

In Philadelphia, Michael Bourn (.289) broke out of his recent struggles with a 3-hit game to lead the Braves to a 12-6 win over the Philliles. Bourn had a single, a double, a home run (#9) and a walk, scored twice and drove in 3 runs as the Braves beat the Phillies for the 8th time in the last 9 meetings. Kyle Kendrick allowed 6 runs on 7 hits in just 3.1 innings and could lose his spot in the rotation of the current trend continues.  Antonio Bastardo was the losing pitcher, allowing 3 runs on 2 walks and a hit, recording just 2 outs.  Bastardo is struggling like never before in his major league career, something looks not right with him.  Ryan Howard was 2 for 4, including a 3- run home run  in the bottom of the 5th which tied the game briefly at 5-5.  Domonic Brown was 1 for 4, an RBI double and a run scored for him.  The battered Phillies will get a well needed day off today before entertaining the Cardinals over the weekend.

After losing 11 in a row, the Indians have bounced back, beating the Twins for the second straight day, this time 6-2.   Lou Marson (.244) was 0 for 3 in the game.......Anthony Gose was 0 for 3 for Toronto in their 3-2 loss in St Pete to the Rays.
