Floyd tops Jays for 9th win

Wednesday in Toronto, Gavin Floyd threw 6 innings for the White Sox, allowing 4 runs, 3 earned, on 8 hits and NO walks, striking out 8 Blue Jays to record his 9th win of the year in Chicago's 9-5 triumph.  Anthony Gose was 1 for 4 and stole his 7th base for the Jays.

The win by Floyd was #51 for HomeSiders this year.


In Miami, the Marlins finally scored some run off the Phillies, taking a 9-2 win.  Domonic Brown (.255) was 0 for 4, and BJ Rosenberg faced 3 hitters, walking 1 and allowing 2 hits, and all 3 of them scored.............In Minnesota, Quintin Berry (.274) was back in the Tigers lineup, with a hit, a walk, and his 16th stolen base in Detroit's 5-1 win over the Twins..........In Atlanta, Michael Bourn (.291) was 1 for 5 with an RBI (his 51st) for the Braves in their 6-1 win over San Diego.
