In Milwaukee, the Brewers ended Cole Hamels' scoreless streak at 23 straight innings when Aramis Ramirez homered in the 2nd inning, but Hamels went on to win his 14th game anyway in the Phillies' 4-3 victory.  Hamels (14-6, 2.94)  allowed 3 runs on 8 hits and 1 walk, striking out 10.  It was the 20th time in his career that Cole has fanned at least 10 in a game.  Ryan Howard (.240 and rising) had 2 doubles and drove in a run for the Phils, but Domonic Brown was 0 for 4.

The win by Hamels was #53 for HomeSiders this season.
