There is a new home run king in Reading, as Darin Ruf hit his 38th home run last night to top Ryan Howard's record. Ruf is on the verge of a triple crown season, with 102 RBI and a .321 average. He was also named Eastern Legue MVP on Thursday!
In Springfield, Josh Outman came within 1 strike of a no-hitter for Tulsa, before allowing a run scoring single in the 9th inning of the Drillers' 9-1 win over the Cardinals.
