Carrasco mows down Mets

Carlos Carrasco pitched 7 innings against Binghamton Monday night, allowing NO runs, 2 hits, 2 walks, striking out 7, recording his 3rd win of the year for Reading in the R-Phils 11-0 victory. Jason Donald had a double and a home run, driving in 3 and scoring 2. Javon Moran had a walk and a hit, and scored 2 runs and Greg Golson had a double and an RBI. Carrasco is now 3-2, 3.25 for the year.

In Clearwater, the Threshers scored 2 in the 7th and 2 in the 8th to post a 7-6 come from behind win over the Manatees. Joe Savery started and struggled for Clearwater, giving up 5 earned runs on 5 hits and 4 walks. Brian Schlitter came in and picked up the good luck win, pitching 2 scoreless frames. Clay Harris had 3 more hits and is 6 for 12 since his return. Quintin Berry (single, double, walk, RBI, 10th steal), P.J. Antoniato (2 singles, walk, run scored), and John Urick (single, home run #2, 3 RBI) all had 2 hit games for the Threshers.

Tyson Brummett will start Tuesday in his Clearwater debut.
