greetings from Florida

Hello HomeSiders,

We have arrived safely in Florida, and spent a beautiful afternoon Sunday on Clearwater beach. In the meantime, over in Charleston, West Virginia, the BlueClaws have continued their winning streak, defeating the Power Saturday and Sunday to extend the streak to 5, and 7 of 8. Michael Taylor (.354, 36 RBI) had 3 hits in each game and Derrick Mitchell homered in each game. T.J. Warren(.353) has continued his hot start for Lakewood. Also, Travis Mattair had 3 hits on Sunday, and Tim Kennelly has rejoined the club, and got 2 hits and an RBI Sunday. Kennelly takes the roster spot of Joel Naughton, who was placed on the reserve list. Darren Byrd has also rejoined the team, as the revolving door continues to turn.

The Threshers split a doubleheader in Vero yesterday, Adrian Cardenas homering in each game. They return here to Clearwater to face Dunedin tomorrow night.

I will catch up with the other action later today or tomorrow, now I am going out to enjoy some of this Florida weather. Enjoy your holiday!!
