Saturday's late games

I found 4 HomeSiders in action Saturday night in the Pacific Coast league.

In Memphis, Robinson Tejeda continues to pitch well for Oklahoma, throwing 7 solid frames for the RedHawks. Robinson was charged with 2 runs on just 3 hits and striking out 11. He left the game with the scored tied at 2-2 and received no decision. Oklahoma won, 4-3, in the 10th inning. Tejeda has made 9 appearances, the last 3 have been starts, and since starting again, he has been very good. In 18.1 innings, he has allowed just 3 runs on 7 hits, lowering his ERA to 2.67.

In Portland, Kevin Howard picked up a double and an RBI (#22) in Las Vegas 10-3 win over Portland. Kevin is just 3 for his last 26, although he has walked 9 times, and is hitting .268 for the Dodger's affiliate.

While in Tacoma, Jesus Merchan (.353) was 1 for 4 with an RBI (#16) in Tucson's 9-3 victory over the Rainiers. Andy Baldwin pitched in relief for the Rainiers, coming in in the 4th inning. He faced Merchan twice, retiring him both times, although the second time, Jesus drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. Baldwin pitched a total of 3 innings, giving up 2 earned runs on 5 hits and 1 walk, and was charged with the loss. Andy is 1-2, 5.61 on the year.
