Reading/Clearwater

Trenton defeated Reading, 5-2 on Thursday. Mike Spidale hit his first home run of the year and Lou Marson had 3 more hits. Lou is hitting a robust .339 and having a GREAT season for the R-Phils.

In Vero Beach, the Threshers fell to the Rays, 2-0, despite another strong effort from Tyson Brummett. Tyson is still looking for his first win since his promotion, and last night he pitched well enough to get it. Unfortunately, Clearwater did not score, which makes it impossible for him to win. Brummett went 7, allowing just 2 runs on 5 hits and 5 walks(a little high), striking out 6. In his 4 starts with the Threshers, Brummett has a 3.12 ERA (2.43 combined in his 10 starts). Quintin Berry and Jake Blalock had 2 hits each for Clearwater.
