The BlueClaws finally defeated the Greensboro on Wednesday afternoon behind strong pitching from Drew Naylor (4-2, 2.55). After allowing 5 earned runs in just 6 innings against the Grasshoppers in Greensboro last week, Naylor was superb on Wednesday, throwing strikes and changing speeds well all day to complete 8 innings and give up just 2 runs on 6 hits, NO walks and 6 strike outs, raising his league leading total to 71.
Michael Taylor added to his team leading RBI total with 2 more (that's 32), while D'Arby Myers, Dominic Brown and Travis Mattair all had 2 hits to lead Lakewood to a 3-2 victory.
