'Claws win again

The BlueClaws made it 2 in a row over Greensboro with a 5-4 win on Thursday night, and have now won 4 of 5 after losing 6 straight. Zack Sterner, recalled earlier in the day as Sampson was placed on the DL, came in to relieve Walter Tejeda, and picked up the win with 2.1 innings of hit less baseball. T.J. Warren made his Lakewood debut with 2 hits and a run scored, while Michael Taylor (single, triple, RBI # 33, stolen base) and Derrick Mitchell (RBI #23) also had 2 hits each. Speaking of Mitchell, he seems to have developed a problem throwing the ball. He has made 4 errors on throws this week and it appears to be becoming mental. Hang in there, Mitch, you are psyching yourself out. Joel Naughton, who has being having a fantastic season so far for Lakewood, doubled in a run and walked twice. Matt Rizzotti picked up the other RBI(his 18th) for the 'Claws.

Lakewood closes out the homestand Friday with one more game against the Grasshoppers, Chris Kissock will take Julian Sampson's turn.
