Braves edge Phils

The Braves defeated the Phillies in Atlanta, 5-4 Tuesday night in 10 innings. Ryan Howard had a single and a double, and drove in his 60th run of the year, and John Mayberry hit a pinch hit home run, his 4th in just 38 major league at bats.

Cole Hamels will take the hill tonight for Philadelphia.

In what could have been an audition for a major league start, Kyle Kendrick threw a complete game for the IronPigs Tuesday night in Allentown. Kyle gave up 3 runs, 2 earned on 6 hits and 2 walks, but lost to Norfolk, 3-1 to fall to 4-5 with a respectable 3.77 ERA. Lou Marson had 2 of the Pigs' 5 hits.
