Savery falls

The New Britain Rock Cats pounded Joe Savery and the Reading Phillies 11-3 Saturday night in Baseballtown. Savery, 12-2, struggled through 5 innings, giving up 6 runs on 8 hits and 5 walks, and actually, it could have gone worse. Angel Castro was also hit hard (1.2 IP, 4 runs, 5 hits, 3 walks), and the offense got only 6 hits. Kevin Mahar (.318, single, home run) and Brad Harman (single, double, run) had 2 hits each for Reading.
