Savery loses 3rd straight

After a 12-1 first half that resulted in a start in the Eastern League All-Star Game, Joe Savery has now lost 3 straight starts in the second half, the latest a 12-1 defeat at the hands of the Portland Sea Dogs in Reading Tuesday. It was not as bad as it sounds for Joe, who only gave up 3 runs over 5 innings before the defense imploded. Half of the 12 runs were UNearned.

Neil Sellers had 3 hits for Reading, Tim Kennelly had a hit and threw out a runner on the bases, and Quintin Berry had a hit and stole #37.

Reading is now 56-46, and 1 game out of a playoff spot. It will be exciting in Baseballtown for the rest of the summer.
