For the last 2 nights, the Philies have started to resemble their old self. After the 4-run rally in the 9th on Monday, Philadelphia rallied from down 6-1, with 6 in the 8th and beat the Brewers again. Carlos Ruiz (.345) had the big hit again, this time a 2-out, 3-run double to tie it, and then scored the winning run on a Hunter Pence single. Ryan Howard (.244) was 1 for 3, and knocked in his 9th run.
In Cleveland, our boys were pivotal in the Indian's 3-2 win over the Tigers. Quintin Berry (.279) had a single, a walk, his 15th steal, and was on base when Miguel Cabrera hit his 24th home run to tie the game at 2-2 in the top of the 7th. In the bottom of the inning, Lou Marson entered the game to run for Travis Hafner, who had tripled with 1 out. The Lou scored the deciding run on a beautifully executed suicide squeeze bunt by Aaron Cunningham!
In Toronto, Jay Happ made his Blue Jays debut, and after allowing a couple of runs in his first inning, settled in for a couple of well pitched frames. Happ was charged with 3 runs on 2 hits and 2 walks in just his second relief appearance of his career.
In Miami, Michael Bourn (.300) had a hit, a walk, and scored a run for the Braves, in their 4-3 loss to the Marlins.
