The Phillies have promoted Chris Duffy and Kenny Giles from Lakewood to Clearwater, and brought William Carmona from the GCL, and Chris Nichols from Williamsport onto the BlueClaws roster. Carmona hit .348 in 25 games in the GCL, after playing for Stony Brook in the College World Series in June. Nichols was selected in the 31st round and is the son of former BlueClaw's pitching coach Rod Nichols. He has pitched 20.1 innings between the GCL and Williamsport.
I missed Brody Colvin being moved up to Reading the other day.
2011 BlueClaw Bill Rice has been promoted from Kannapolis to Winston-Salem. Rice, a New Jersey native, was hitting .328 in 35 games for the Intimidators.
