Kemp ends Phils streak

In Los Angeles Wednesday, Matt Kemp hit a walk off home run in the 12th off Jake Diekman to give the Dodgers a 5-3 win in the finale of their series with the Phillies.  After using 4 pitchers to keep the game tied at 1-1 in the 9th, Jonathan Papaelbon blew a 2-run 10th inning lead before Kemp won it.  The blast ended the Phillies modest 4-game winning streak, leaving them at 41-52, and 14 games behind first place Washington.  Carlos Ruiz (.350)  had 2 hits and a walk, and drove in a run, and Ryan Howard had a pinch hit single in his only at bat.

In New York, Anthony Gose made his first start for the Blue Jays, and was 0 for 3 in the Yankees rain-shortened 6-0 win over Toronto.
