In Baltimore Saturday , a parade of former BlueClaws did the majority of the pitching for the Phillies in their 6-4 loss to the Orioles. Vance Worley made the start and has looked pretty good since coming off the DL. Vance went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs, only 1 earned on 3 hits and a walk, and was betrayed by his defense as the team made 3 errors. Jacob Diekman allowed a run on 2 hits in his inning, Antonio Bastardo struck out 2 of his 3 hitters in his inning, and then Brian Rosenberg made his debut with a 1-2-3 11th inning. Then in the 12th, BJ walked the leadoff man and allowed the game winning walk off home run to Adam Jones for the Orioles win. Rosenberg becomes the 4th former Claw to debut in the majors this year, and #45 overall.
In Minnesota, the Twins pounded the Cubs, 11-3. Adrian Cardenas was 0 for 2 for Chicago.........In Atlanta, Michael Bourn (.317) had 3 hits, including a double, drove in a run and scored another, and stole his 16th base of the season as the Braves beat Toronto, 5-2. It was stolen base #250 in Bourn's career!
