Klev gets All-Star win, JD cycles!!

In Charleston, Colin Kleven threw a scoreless inning in the SAL All-Star Game, and was the winning pitcher as the North topped the South, 3-2, and in Kodak, Jesus Sanchez allowed a run on a hit, but struck out 2 in the Southern League All-Star game, as the South took a 6-2 victory over the North.


In Charlotte, Jason Doanld hit for the cycle to lead the Clippers to a 13-2 win over the Knights. "JD" (.302) drove in 4 runs for Columbus, recording the franchise first cycle in over a year.  Greg Golson (.283) had an RBI double for Charlotte.

In Tucson, Anthony Gose (.291) had a walk and  a triple, scoring twice, and Travis d'Arnaud (.336) and Kevin Howard (.264) added 2 hits each as the Las Vegas 51s beat the Padres, 8-2.  Andrew Carpenter scattered 7 hits over 7 shut out innings to win his 5th game of the year for Las Vegas.......In San Antonio, Jonathan Singleton walked and scored the first of 4 runs in a 4-run 12th inning to give the Corpus Christi Hooks a 4-0 win over the Missions.  Jarred Cosart was excellent, throwing 7 shut out innings, allowing just 5 hits and 1 walk, striking out 8 along the way.
