In Gwinnett, Greg Golson (.286) had 2 singles, a double, stole a base (#9), scored 1 run and drove in another to pace to Knights to a 7-3 win over the Braves..........In Las Vegas, Anthony Gose' (.302) hitting streak ended at 15 with an 0 for 4 in the 51s' 6-5 win over Reno. Travis d'Arnaud (.322) had a hit, a walk, scored a run, and knocked 1 in for Vegas, and Randy Ruiz (.335) had a double, a walk, and scored a run for the Aces. Bobby Korecky threw a scoreless frame for the 51s........In Tacoma, Michael Taylor (.313) was 3 for 3 , with a walk, for Sacramento, but the Rainiers beat the River Cats, 6-3.
A wild Saturday in Trenton, where the Thunder swept a doubleheader from New Hampshire, 3-2 and 6-5. The wild part is that the opener went 14 innings, and the nightcap went 15! It should have been 2 7-innings contests! Michael Dubee threw a scoreless inning for the Thunder in the second game.
In Huntsville, Jesus Sanchez' great season continues. Sanchez pitched 2 more scoreless innings for the Stars in their 6-2 win over the Braves. Jesus' ERA is now a sparkling 0.76 this year.
In Rochester, the Red Wings and the Clippers split a doubleheader, with Rochester winning the opener, 3-0 and Columbus taking the nightcap, 1-0. Jason Donald (.305) was 1 for 5 with a walk on the day for the Clippers.........In Montgomery, the Biscuits came from behind to edge Tennessee, 4-3. Brian Schlitter threw a scoreless frame for the Smokies.
