We have to start in Cincinnati, where Austin Jackson has returned to the Tiger's line up. This moved Quintin Berry (.290) down to the 2-slot, immediately ahead of Miguel Cabrera, and to right field. Sunday night Berry was on base 3 times, a walk, hit by a pitch, and a single. He also scored a run in the 6th inning on what was a great slide at home plate, avoiding the tag and getting to the dish before catcher Devin Mesoraco could recover. The Tigers scored 4 in the 8th, and overcame the Reds, 7-6. Alfredo Simon did pitch a scoreless inning in the top of the 9th for Cincinnati.
In Baltimore, the Orioles beat the Phillies 5-4 when Matt Wieters doubled home Adam Jones in the bottom of the 10th. Joe Savery took the loss this time, but it was not his fault, as Jones reached base on a Ty Wigginton error. Carlos Ruiz (.347) was 1 for 4 for the Fightin' Phils........In Atlanta, the Blue Jays spotted the Braves 4 runs, before exploding for a 12-4 win. Michael Bourn (.320) had 2 hits and a walk, and scored a run for Atlanta, extending his hitting streak to 10 games..........In St Louis, the Indians beat the Cardinals, 4-1. Lou Marson had his 7-game hitting streak snapped, going 0 for 2 with a walk for the Tribe.
