Brooklyn bashes a pair!

Anthony Hewitt followed up his 3 for 4 Wednesday, with 2 home runs Thursday and 4 RBI for the second straight day as the Threshers beat Tampa, 10-7.  Third baseman Cody Asche (.343) was 5 for 5 for Clearwater.  Austin Wright was the starter, but the win went to Austin Brough, his 1st of the season, who threw 1.1 innings of relief and was in the right place at the right time!

In Binghamton, Tim Kennelly (.288) was 3 for 3, with a walk, a double and an RBI, but Reading dropped an 8-5 game to the Mets.  Austin Hyatt was the starter for the R-Phils and lasted 5.1 innings, yielding 3 runs on 5 hits and 1 walk, striking out 9 for a no decision.........In Lakewood, the rain has stopped and the BlueClaws resumed play with a 7-1 defeat at the hands of Hickory.  Silver lining here was good relief pitching from both Kenny Giles and Yaris Sosa, after Ramon Oviedo allowed 6 runs in 4 innings. Oviedo was very good in his debut, but has struggled in his 4 starts since then.
