Berry to majors; Happ wins

The first thing I notice this morning is Quintin Berry has been called up to the Detroit Tigers.  Congrats to Q!!

We start Tuesday's recap in Houston where Jay Happ won his 4th game of the year for the Astros, a 2-1 win over the Cubs.  Happ (4-3, 4.56) went 6 innings and allowed just 1 run on 5 hits and 2 walks, striking out 6.  The lone mistake was a home run ball to Alfonso Soriano........In Cincinnati, Michael Bourn (.323) had a double and 2 home runs, the first time in his career he has hit 2 in one game, but the Braves lost to the Reds, 4-3.

In Philadelphia, the Nationals beat the Phillies, 5-2.  Carlos Ruiz was 0 for 1, and was ejected for arguing balls and strikes, and Freddy Galvis (.236) was 1 for 4.  Jake Diekman recorded 5 outs, 4 by strike out, and allowed just 1 hit, and Antonio Bastardo struck out the only hitter he faced.........In Miami, the Marlins won a wild one, 7-6 over Colorado.  Josh Outman fanned the only hitter he faced for the Rockies.

Gavin Floyd has always had trouble with the Twins, and it was no different Tuesday.  Gavin was pounded for 9 runs on 8 hits and 3 walks in just 3.2 innings as the Twins topped the Sox, 9-2.  Floyd is 0-8 since August 2009, against Minnesota.
