Homie & Q keep it going

In Allentown, the IronPigs and Charlotte were suspended after 3 innings, with the score tied at 3-3.  Greg Golson had a single and scored a run for the Knights, and Derrick Mitchell popped a double and drove in 2 runs for Lehigh Valley.  The game will be completed at a later date.

In Reno, Randy Ruiz (.386) had 3 hits, including a double and his 7th home run of the year, driving in 5 runs (total of 28) to power the Aces to an 11-9 win over Tacoma.  That average is 3rd best in the PCL.........In Toledo, Quintin Berry got 2 MORE hits, and scored a run, raising his average to .313 and extending his hitting streak to 9 games.  He is 14 for 36 (.389) during the streak...........In Rochester, Matt Rizzoti (.236) had 2 doubles and an RBI to help the Red Wings defeat the Yankees, 3-0........In Midland, the Rock Hounds beat Corpus Christi, 6-5.  Jonathan Singleton (.330) had a single, a double, scored a run and knocked one in, and Jonathan Villar chipped in with 2 hits of his own.

In Reading, Drew Naylor came off the DL and made his first start of the year for the R-Phils, going 5 innings and picking up the win in Reading's 9-8 victory over Erie.  Cesar Hernandez (.323)  had 4 hits, including 2 doubles, and drove in 3 runs, Darin Ruf (.367) added 2 more hits, scored a run and drove in another, and Jiwan James belted a 3-run home run for Reading.

In Clearwater, the Charlotte Stone Crabs beat the Threshers, 11-2.  Garrett Claypool took the brunt of the abuse.  Garrett faced 6 hittters, all of which got hits, and then scored.  YIKES!!  Each of the 4 pitchers who worked for Clearwater gave up runs.........In Charleston, the River Dogs completed a 3-game sweep of the BlueClaws with a 5-1 win over Lakewood.  Carlos Perdomo had 3 hits for Lakewood, and Kyrell Hudson and John Hill had 2 hits each.  Lino Martinez took the loss, but pitched well after a 5-run second inning gave the River Dogs all they would need.  Colton Murray was very good, throwing 3 scoreless innnings of relief, allowing just 2 hits, NO walks, and striking out 5.
