Cardenas to majors

On Monday, the Chicago Cubs called up Adrian Cardenas from AAA-Iowa.  "AC" pinch hit in the 8th inning, hitting a line drive into an out in the Cubs' 5-1 win over Atlanta.  Michael Bourn (.333) extended his hitting streak to 11 games with a single, and 2 walks for the Braves.  Bourn also stole 2 bases, giving him 11 so far this year.  Mike is 18 for 49 (.367) during his hitting streak.

In Philadelphia, the New York Mets scored 3 in the 9th inning off Jonathan Paplebon to take a 5-2 win over the Phillies.  Carlos Ruiz had a single and 2 walks, and scored a run for the Phillies, while Antonio Batsardo threw a scoreless inning of relief.  Freddy Galvis was 0 for 4........In Cleveland, the Indians swept a doubleheaderf from the White Sox, 8-6 and 3-2.  In the night game, Lou Marson had a walk and a run scored, and Jason Donald went 0 for 3........In Phoenix, the Cardinals defeated the Diamondbacks, 9-6.  Mike Zagurski pitched a scoreless inning for Arizona.
