Maloney, Donald to AAA

In Philadelphia, the Padres defeated the Phillies, 2-1.  Freddy Galvis was 1 for 4 and drove in the only run for the Phillies, and Carlos Ruiz had a rare off-day, going 0 for 4.

In St. Louis, Michael Bourn (.333) pounded 3 more hits, including his 1st home run of the year, driving in 2 runs and scoring 2 more to help lead the Braves to a 7-2 win over the Cardinals.........In Milwaukee, the Brewers took it to the Cubs, 8-2.  Adrian Cardenas came into the game late got his first hit for the Cubs, scoring a run for Chicago.  "AC" is 1 for 9 so far for the Cubbies.........In Pittsburgh, the Pirates defeated Astros, 5-2.  Jay Happ was the starter and loser for Houston, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits and a walk, in just 5 innings, to fall to 2-4, 5.72 for the year.........In Boston, Lou Marson was 1 for 2, with a walk, and scored a run for the Indians in their 4-1 loss to the Sox.  Cleveland also announced they optioned Jason Donald to AAA-Columbus.....In Phoenix, the Giants topped the Diamondbacks, 5-2.  Mike Zagurski pitched an inning for Arizona, allowing a run on 1 hit, and striking out 2.........In Los Angeles, Josh Outman made his season debut, faced 1 hitter, gave up a hit and saw that run score which made him the losing pitcher in the Dodgers' 2-1 win over Colorado.


The Twins have outrighted Matt Maloney to AAA-Rochester, and the Reds have called up Mike Costanzo.
