Berry, Taylor, Jaramillo

Lehigh Valley headed out on their first road trip Saturday, first stop: Pawtucket for a doubleheader. The Sox stopped the Pigs' winning streak with a 4-1 win in the opener. The IronPigs managed only 5 hits, but Derrick Mitchell was 2 for 3 and Cody Overbeck was 0 for 3. In the nightcap, Domonic Brown had a big 2-run single in the 6th inning to give the IronPis a 3-2 win and a split. Mitchell and Overbeck had 1 hit each in that game.


In Toledo, Quintin Berry had 2 singles, a double, a walk, an RBI and stole 2 bases, but the Mud Hens came up short, losing an 8-7 game to Indianapolis. Toledo scored 3 times in the bottom of the 9th, including an RBI hit by "Q".


In Charlotte, the Knights and Tides split a pair, Charlotte winning 6-3 in the first game, and the Tides taking a 4-1 decision in the second one. Greg Golson was 1 for 6 on the day with an RBI for Charlotte.

In Columbus, the Clippers beat Louisville, 6-4. Robinson Tejeda threw an inning for the Clippers, and gave up 2 runs on 3 hits, striking out 1.

In Las Vegas, Michael Taylor had 3 hits, including a 3-run home run, and drove in 4 runs to help Sacramento defeat the 51s, 10-8. Anthony Gose had a walk and a single for Vegas, and scored 2 runs, while Travis d'Arnaud went 0 for 4. Travis is just 1 for 11 so far. Bobby Korecky allowed 2 runs on 2 hits and a walk in 2 innings of work.

In Reno, the SkySox beat the Aces, 5-2. Randy Ruiz was 1 for 4 for Reno.

In Iowa City, Adrian Cardenas got his first hit of the season, but the Cubs lost a 7-2 game to Round Rock.

In Corpus Christi, Jonathan Singleton was 2 for 4, including a double, an RBI, and a run scored, and Jonathan Villar had a hit, a walk, and scored a run for the Hooks in their 7-2 win over NW Arkansas. Josh Zeid made his season debut, allowing a run on 2 hits, striking out 1 in his inning of work.

In Jacksonville, Jason Jaramillo was 3 for 4 and scored a run and Jesus Sanchez tossed 2 scoreless innings (1 walk) of relief for Huntsville as the Stars beat the Suns, 3-1.
