snakes bite Kendrick

Kyle Kendrick did not have his good stuff in his spot start for Cliff Lee Monday, struggling with his control and surrendering 7 runs on 11 hits in just over 3 innings as the Diamondbacks took a 9-5 win over the Phillies. It remains to be seen if this will effect whether Kyle makes the next start when Lee's turn comes up again. Joe Savery also pitched, giving up an Unearned run in his 1.1 innings of work. Carlos Ruiz was 1 for 4, a 9th inning home run, and Freddy Galvis had a double in 3 at bats for the Phillies.

In Los Angeles, the Dodgers stopped the Braves, 7-2. Michael Bourn had a hit and a walk, and now has a 6-game hitting streak in which he is 13 for 23 (.565).
