Galvis gamewinner

Freddy Galvis had 2 hits last night, including an RBI-triple in the bottom of the 7th inning to break a 3-3 tie and give the Phillies a 4-3 win over the Pirates in Philadelphia. It was the 14th RBI of the spring for Freddy. Carlos Ruiz was 0 for 2, and Antonio Bastardo (retired only hitter he faced), and Kyle Kendrick (1-2-3 9th for a save) also got into the game.

Back in Florida, Michael Bourn was 1 for 3 for the Braves in their 8-2 loss to the Mets and Matt Maloney (1.73 ERA for the spring) threw an inning for Minnesota in the Twins 6-6 tie with the Rays.

In Goodyear, Jason Donald had a double in 2 at bats and scored a run for the Indians in the Tribe's 2-1 loss to the Reds..........In Glendale, Gavin Floyd started for the White Sox, and threw 4.2 innings against the Brewers. Gavin allowed 4 runs on 7 hits and 2 walks, striking out 4 in his final tune up for the season. It has been a rough spring for Floyd, who has a 6.84 ERA for the preseason............In Scottsdale, the Cubs beat the Diamondbacks, 8-2. Lendy Castillo, who appears to have made the team in Chicago, threw a scoreless 9th inning for the Cubbies, despite allowing 2 hits.

In Corpus Christi, Jonathan Singleton drove in 2 runs with a bases loaded single for the Hooks, but the home team lost to the parent Houston Astros, 6-2.
