Happ very good in season debut

In Houston Monday night, Jay Happ becomes the first HomeSider to win a major league game in the majors this year, struggling early on but retiring the last 9 hitter he faced in a 6-inning stint for the Astros. Omar Infante hit 2 home runs for the Marlins, 1 off Hamels, the other off of Joe Savery, who retired the other 5 hitters he faced in the game. The Phillies only 2 runs came on Freddy Galvis' first major league hit, a 2-run double in the 7th inning. Carlos Ruiz was 0 for 4, but scored a run for Philadelphia.

In Cleveland, the White Sox scored 3 in the 1st inning and went on to a 4-2 win over the Indians. Jason Donald and Lou Marson combined to go 0 for 7, and neither one has a hit yet for Cleveland.......In Chicago, Lendy Castillo made his major league debut, allowing a run on a hit and retiring 2 hitters in the Cubs 7-5 loss to the Brewers...........In Cincinnati, Alfredo Simon retired the final 5 outs of the Reds' 7-1 loss to the Cardinals.
