Giants beat Bastardo in 11th

After Cliff Lee (10 IP) and Matt Cain (9 IP) matched zeroes throughout the night, the Giants scored a run off of Antonio Bastardo in the 11th inning to take a 1-0 win in the rubber game of their series in San Francisco. Cain allowed just 2 hits in 9 frames, the Phillies tallying only 4 on the entire night, 1 each for Carlos Ruiz (.306) and Freddy Galvis (up to .237).

In Atlanta, Michael Bourn had 3 hits, a walk, stole his 6th base of the year, and scored a run, helping to lead the Braves to a 14-6 win over the Mets. Mike has his average up to .260 and appears to have the early season slump a thing of the past.........In Miami, the Marlins pounded the Cubs, 9-1. Lendy Castillo allowed a run on 3 hits in his inning of work for Chicago...........In St. Louis, the Cardinals defeated Cincinnati, 11-1, although Alfredo Simon did throw a 1-2-3 inning for the Reds......In Seattle, the Mariners held the Indians to just 4 hits, Jason Donald was 0 for 3 for the Tribe.
