In Indianapolis, the Indians and Mud Hens split a doubleheader, with Indianapolis taking the opener, 10-3, and Toledo winning the nightcap, 4-3. Quintin Berry had a double and stolen base (#5) in the first game, and a single and 2 walks in the second game for Toledo...........In Allentown, the IronPigs won again, this time 3-1 over Rochester. Domonic Brown had a single, a double, an RBI and scored a run for the Pigs, Cody Overbeck chipped in 2 hits and an RBI, while Derrick Mitchell (0 for 4) and Tuffy Gosewisch (0 for 3) were hitless. Matt Rizzotti had 2 hits and an RBI for Rochester............In Round Rock, Adrian Cardenas (.359) collected 4 hits for Iowa, and drove in a run , but the Cubs lost a wild 11-10 extra innings affair to the Express.........In Albuquerque, the Isotopes earned a 9-7 win over Omaha, Will Savage picking up his second win in relief with 1.1 innings of scoreless ball. Will stranded both runners he inherited to help the Isotopes post the win..............In Sacramento, Randy Ruiz had a single, a double, a walk, and scored Reno's only run of the day in their 3-1 loss to the River Cats.
In Harrisburg, Cesar Hernandez (.278, double, triple, 3 RBI, 2 runs), Steve Susdorf (.296, triple, RBI, walk) and Mike Spidale (.391) had 2 hits each, as Jonathan Pettibone picked up his first victory of the year in Reading's 9-3 win over the Senators. "Bone" threw 5.2 innings for Reading, allowing just 2 runs on 8 hits and 2 walks, and even got a hit himself. Tyson Brummett struck out the side in his inning of work..........In Tampa, the Yankees topped the Threshers, 6-1. Carlos Alonso had 2 hits for Clearwater. Garrett Claypool absorbed the loss, allowing 5 runs on 3 hits and a walk over 2 innings. Tyler Knigge tossed a scoreless frame of relief.
In Tulsa, Jonathan Singleton (.344) had 1 hit, and Jonathan Villar's early slump continues (0 for 4, .171) for Corpus Christi, as the hooks dropped a 3-1 decision to the Drillers...........In Huntsville, the Stars beat the Smokies, 5-4. Jesus Sanchez pitched 2 innings (1 hit, 1 walk, 2 Ks) and Jason Jaramillo drove in a run for Huntsville.
