Major league hitters appear to have figured out Antonio Bastardo, and the hard throwing lefty was hit hard by the Rays last night in Tampa. The time has come for Antonio to make some adjustments. Last night he lasted just 3.2 innings, giving up 6 earned runs on 7 hits (including 2 homers) and 3 walks to fall to Tampa, 10-4. Bastardo is now 2-3, 6.75 after winning his first 2 starts. Hitters are sitting on his fastball, and he has to start using his other pitches more.
Ryan Howard had a 2-RBI double for the Phillies and now has 57 RBI.
Cole Hamels (4-3) will open the series in Toronto tonight.
