In Clearwater, the Thresher offense continues to struggle, and Jupiter won on Saturday 2-0. The Threshers are really missing their catalyst, Dominic Brown, who is out with a broken bone in his hand, and managed just 4 hits for the 2nd straight day. Mike Cisco continues to be strong as the organization stretches him out, this time for 5 shut out innings, allowing only 3 hits, NO walks, and striking out 4. It is hard to pitch under the kind of pressure the Clearwater staff is under. Sam Walls came in for 2 scoreless frames, but Walter Tejeda gave up a 2-run home run to Ben Harrison and that was the difference.
The Threshers will try to get back on track Sunday, throwing ace Yohan Flande (5-1) against Jupiter.
