Michael Taylor had his 3rd straight 3-hit game last night for Reading, but the R-Phils dropped a 4-3 decision to New Hampshire. Mike is hitting .340, with 13 home runs and 50 RBI so far this year. Tyson Brummett (3-7) took the loss last night, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits and 4 walks over 5 innings of work.
In Tampa, Steve Susdorf had 2 more hits and drove in a run, as the Threshers topped the Yankees 7-6. Steve is 6 for 13 (.462) since his promotion from Lakewood. Yohan Flande continues his remarkable season, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits over 5 innings to improve to 7-1. 2.52 on the year. Darren Byrd's struggles continue, as he gave up 2 runs in less than an inning, before being bailed out by Carlos Monasterios. "Monte" continues to like working out of the pen, throwing 2.1 more hitless innings yesterday. Mike Schwimer encountered some trouble in the 9th, but Santo Hernandez came in and put out the fire, recording his 1st save with the Threshers. Lights out, baby!!
In Oklahoma City, Greg Golson (.281) had 2 hits, stole a base (#7), and drove in a run in the RedHawks 3-2 over Round Rock. In Tacoma, the Las Vegas 51s took a 4-1 win from the Rainiers. Randy Ruiz (.328) had a double and a triple and rove in his 64th run of the year to lead all HomeSiders. Kevin Howard (.268) was 1 for 3 and also drove in a run for Vegas. In Frisco, Adrian Cardenas (.347) had 3 hits and drove in 2 runs (that's 45 on the season) as part of a 16-hit attack which lead the Rock Hounds to a 14-3 win over the Rough Riders.
