The Lakewood BlueClaws made it a sweep in Lake County with a 9-7 win over the Captains Sunday afternoon. The Claws pounded out 15 hits, 3 each for Harold Garcia and Steve Susdorf, each of whom homered. Travis D'Arnaud, Moose Mattair and D'Arby Myers added 2 hits each as the BlueClaws won their 4th straight game to improve to 37-24 on the year.
Tyler Cloyd (7-3) was the winning pitcher, and the win, combined with Delmarva's 6-0 loss at Hagerstown, puts the BlueClaws 4 games in front of the Shorebirds with a big 3 games in the next 2 nights in Lakewood. Jason Knapp will go in the opener and righthander Trevor May, just called up from extended spring training, will be given the assignment in the nightcap.
May, a 6'5", 215 pound, 19-year old from Kelso, Washington was selected by the Phillies in the 4th round of last June's draft.
